Muggles has a module for that but that one contains data. This module is using Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org) as it's source. I contacted the people over at Wikipedia and showed them the module. After some licencing notices, it was 'approved' to be used as it is now. The module 'snatches' the data from Wikipedia and shows it in a block. The Today's history block does not use the database, it only registers itself as a module. By default the Today's history is turned 'off'. To make the block visible add a menulink to menumenager point to 'index.php?module=todayshistory'. That's all.
