I have been working on http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Main_Page while SF
was having some site problems.  Wiki's are cool and powerful

. It's great that blindman1311 has created a module for phpWebSite
Anyhow, my knoppix wiki hacking was part of a larger idea that I have
been thinking about for some time.  It would be useful to have a
phpWebSite CD.  So I have thrown out some ideas here on a Live CD
project.  Yeah and I'd like the pain and glory to lead the project. ;-)

So pipe up with any idea and issues please.

Specifications

Like the demo app at phpWebSite.

Used as a test bed for users and developers.

Used as a test bed for fallout along with providing the most recent
version of phpWebSite.

Community involvement from the beginning.

Must be developed using SF release system and supporting tools like CVS etc.

These ideas are based off the Apache project new project implementation
process.

Gnome is the primary desktop -- Fedora, SuSe, Ubutu have had great
success.  If there is enough room, KDE can be added.  The goal is to
strip down knoppix or some other liveCD system so that there's room for
the web tools, yet have a full featured desktop.  As DSL, lamppix,
Puppy, feather linux, dynebolix and the like have shown, a major window
manager will have major memory consumption.  The Gnome/KDE ideal can
take a backseat to memory issues.

First dash tracks stable phpwebsite release.

0.x.0 Are major milestones as decided below.
x.x.x Anything that would generate a new release.
1.0.0 would meet all of the major design goals.

0.1.0  Just a glorified ISO archive of all things phpWebSite that are
free.  The community would help select the name.  The decision about
the LiveCD system that will work the best will be made by then.  The
release milestones will be
