Developers and other admins: what OS is your development platform for this project (i.e., what OS are you going to be using when you are coding here)?
I don't care what anyone is using, but I want to make sure that we've got a good grip on what the coding conventions should be. The documentation says that files should have WIN32 line endings, but if most of our developers, and our customers, will be using Linux or Unix web servers, it makes sense to have UNIX-style line endings, not WIN32.
Perhaps we should have separate packages (when applicable); a .tar.gz file with UNIX line endings, for Unix/Linux/Mac OS X users, and a .zip file for Windows users where the files have WIN32 line endings.
