Now that's amazing... I've spent the last several days hassling with blocks in the cvs version. Today I was still fighting with it and then finally I concluded that perhaps I should try and move the admin block to the right side and my content blocks to the left. I did that and low and behold now my content blocks show up as they should in "user mode". Now I can publish the site and get going. -- csm "...software engineers, as Percy Bysshe Shelley said of poets, are the unacknowledged legislators of our time. acknowledge this reality and try to shape it..." - stille/lessig |

Can you give me details of the block arrangement you had, I would like to see if I can reproduce is, there could well be a coding error that is causing problems in specific circumstances. -- Dylan Reeve - dy...@wi... Okay... if you recall I sent you some graphics earlier today which showed w= hat I was seeing. I had to move the content blocks to the right to get them to show up. The e= xact same arrangement will show up on the left if the admin block is set to the right= side. If they're all set to the left then they will all show up in admin mode but nothing sh= ows up at all in user mode. -- csm "...software engineers, as Percy Bysshe Shelley said of poets, are the unacknowledged legislators of our time. acknowledge this reality and try to shape it..." - stille/lessig |

I see a whole bunch of stuff has been updated includi= ng the tables.sql and data.sql files. -- csm "...software engineers, as Percy Bysshe Shelley said of poets, are the unacknowledged legislators of our time. acknowledge this reality and try to shape it..." - stille/lessig |

There was a check to see if the block column need to be drawn, if there was an admin block in first position and you weren't an admin it didn't draw the column. Now the conditions are not admin and admin is the only block in the column. -- Dylan Reeve - dy...@wi... "Um, yeah." |

i hope i haven't stepped on anyone toes with my timing here. i've seperated the blocks from the pages which required schema changes to T_Blocks, and the addition of T_Pages. The update scripts have not been updated to reflect these changes, so upgrading with CVS is unpredictable at best. Initial installs work fine though. Jason > > So where was the bug?
