greetings all,

yes, the poll is not complete and a polling manager is on the todo but 
... here are some thoughts / ideas ... some better then others :

+ cookie time configured in admin (hours/days)
+ if cookie present then 
    - display results of poll vs poll itself OR
    - cycle through another active poll
  this would work of course if one has >=2 active polls
+ networked polling system (hmm)
+ if GD then choice of pie,bar,foo for results
+ archivable polls where new visitors can vote on old poll , not just 
  view results (tricky, some are outdated ... maybe boolean of
  archive view y/n and archive post y/n per poll (huh?)
+ allow for other box where user types in answer (although 
  the addition of comments may disolve this thought)
+ make a poll a special "Topic" or just add comments seperatly
+ popup polls suck, actually, popups are evil in general ;)
+ have an ordered poll where order of preference is taken into account.
   - example : what is your favorite color?
   (2)blue
   (1)green <-- note, this is my fav i give it a one
   (3)black
   (4)pink  <-- note, i don't like pink so give it a four
   - either we enter numbers OR it takes into account our order of
     checking (can js do this?) or some other way
   - results would be compiled somehow ... ... ... hmm.

i think that's all for now, thoughts?  likes, dislikes?  the archive thing
sounds complicated and the networked way would (i think) require a
centralized server (polls.phpweblog.org) so idk ... unless the phpweblog
community decides to create a Beowulf Polling Cluster  ;)
