    Great script.  I have it installed!!  I can login and delete users and groups.  I can signup and create new users and groups.  The problem I am having is when logged in as a user, I choose browse, find file I wish to upload, press upload and page just remains same...no change.  File doesn't get uploaded.  Telnet in, user and group directories there...no files in directories.  What am I missing here?

    Thanks,
    Robert

      First, what response do you get from the script?  Just "Back to your user page" or "Created /path/to/file (##KB)"?

      Second, are you using a recent browser? (3.0+ is ok I think, but maybe it needs 4.0+)

      Third, what version of PHP are you using?  As the INSTALL file says, 3.x probably won't work.

      Fourth, how big is the file?  It won't accept blank files ('touch file').

      If you're up to debugging the problem, try setting the error_reporting to 8 (top of users.php).  Also, run this in MySQL:

      SELECT * FROM phpwebhosting.userinfo;

      SELECT * FROM phpwebhosting.files;

      Reply to this if it still won't work.  If it does work, I'd be interested to know what the problem was for future reference.

          From your other post, nothing looks out of the ordinary.  The undefined variables are all normal, and everything looks fine in the database.  You'll have to set error_reporting back to 4, or I won't be able to log in to the site, because of the way cookies work (cookies must be sent first, and the errors are begin sent first when error_reporting is set to 8).

              I was able to upload a file (INSTALL) fine under Konqueror.  It showed the right attributes and was saved in the filesystem.  I can only assume its a bug in IE 5.50.  I'm a Linux only guy, and I don't have access to any Windoze machine to test with.  I should be able to test it sometime next week.  Have you tried it under a different version of IE or under Netscape?

              The upload feature is about as standard as it gets, and none of it is browser dependent.  There have been lots of changes to PHP's upload implementation, so there could be a bug there, although no-one has reported one.

                Well, I hate being a pest....  I see the file you were able to upload so I'm convinced it works.  I have Netscape 4.76 installed on my windoze 2 grand box and when I attempt login, I'm am spit back to the login page...using any of my users.  I also have Netscape vers 4 on my FreeBsd ver4 box and have the same problem with login.  I'm way lost.

                Thanks

                  Usually this is a definite sign that cookies aren't being set, but I double checked, and the cookies are being sent just fine.  It must be a problem with the htaccess support that I added in this version.  I don't have time to investigate at the moment, but hopefully I will sometime next week.  Just make sure htaccess isn't set, and I'll reply if and when I can find the cause.
