#1 Problem to run for the first time

I've just downloaded and installed Ve-EDIT.
The initial page appears with no problems, I can see the
IDE and the Requirements text (all of them are in OK
state).
But when I click on CONTINUE I get the following
message:

on line <b>39</b><br />

Besides, the New, Open, Print and Help buttons aren't
available (Save and Search are).

Can you give me any clue?
