You need an apache webserver (or nginx or else), PHP 5 (maybe PHP4 will work too).
For installation you need to download an archive and unpack to some folder in your web-server public directory (wwroot\sync, /var/www/html/sync for example). Done. It's installed.
Setup your device to use it. I's shortly described in README.txt. You have to specify your web-server's address, some username and a password and fill names for contacts, etc folders.
If you experiencing troubles of setting up your web server, i can tell you mine.
Server is in pre-beta state. When ou sync. Server will get all data. But for now there is no way to put data back to device.
