Hi! fun irc php page implementation!... and the test bot is cute.
My problem is that i get this after a few minutes of operation:
------------
HTTP/1.1 502 Gateway Error Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.1 Date: Wed, 25 Feb 2004 16:05:28 GMT Connection: close Content-Length: 186 Content-Type: text/html
CGI Timeout
The specified CGI application exceeded the allowed time for processing. The server has deleted the process.
------
How do i remove or adjust the time-out?
I am running IIS 5.1 on XPpro SP1.
Thanks, astra

hi astra
your webserver has a maximum execution time.
this is a resource-saveing feature which stops scripts with infinite recursions (mostly mistakes).
i set my max exec time up to one week, because the php process must be running for more than just a few minutes in this case :)

Thanks sarge_CH. Now can you tell me how to fix the CGI timeout? I found this dialogue, which makes it sound un-resolvable:
But they're wrong, mid-this-letter i found out, go to properties of the WEB site in the XP IIS snap-in, choose the last tab, application properties, and you can adjust/disable the CGI timeout there.
Thanks for you help ;-)
