hu,
i have a problem with the smartirc bot. i have set setAutoReconnect(TRUE) but the bot does not come back if the connection was broken.

the other thing, how about a 2nd name feature, because thats very important in irc. when the nick is already in use e.g.

  autoreconnect should work, not sure why it didn't for you...
  but about the alternative nicknames, I will add that feature soon, 0.6.0 probably...
