I look forward to finish our site soon :( >(old one is available at www.college.ch/linux) > A .7.1 maintnance release will be out very soon... patience... patience... You can always pull the latest release from CVS, as suggested in a previous email. We are using "phpslash-ft" module in CVS, and you can do: cvs -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/phpslash login < ENTER > cvs -z3 -d:pserver:ano...@cv...:/cvsroot/phpslash co phpslash-ft A few things to keep in mind: 1. the CVS version uses .php3 extensions, unlike the release which has .php. So you will have to rename the files which have changed, and look thru all files for references to .php3 files and change them to .php (there is a script that does this for you, and a Perl script at ftp.latinomixed.com/downloads/find_replace.pl that takes care of finding in files and replacing for a given string) 2. the CVS could be broken :-) and it's not recommended for production 3. you will need to change the reference in .class files also... In short, it would be wiser to just wait until we get all bugs fixed from the current release and submit a new release: "0.71". In general, if you need to talk to us directly, you can join us at: irc.freenode.org#phpslash ----)(----- Luis Mondesi System Administrator LatinoMixed.com le...@ho... Thus, after a user who can, say, add new stories, logs in, he/she can go to "Admin" $ROOTURL/admin and go on with the things they want to add. If the rooturl for the site is: http://www.myserver.com Then any user who can add stories can go to: http://www.myserver.com/admin They will get a Login prompt (login.php) and then be presented with a limited version of the admin page that "god" or the superusers get (root). And just in case, if they know the URL for the admin pages to modify other things, they will be greeted with a "you don't have enough privileges" page, cordially telling them to go to other pages :-) ----)(----- Luis Mondesi System Administrator LatinoMixed.com le...@ho...
