Lots of good talk on the lists of late and great ideas being tossed
around, so I figured it was time for a formal-ish announcement of what
the hell's going on. Ajay, Joe and I have been super busy with work of
late, else things would have happened quicker.
- The Fate of 0.65
She's a coming. At last I have heard there are no show stopping bugs
for the current 0.65 incarnation in -ft CVS. phpslash-ft will be tagged
next week and 0.65 will appear in -stable and then be formally released.
If you have any lingering bugs file 'em now or deal with it till we do a
patch release :) For those of y'all upgrading, please test the upgrade
db script please!!!
- The Roadmap
Discussion will open next week for a new roadmap. If you have any kind
of feature idea file it in the Feature Request tracker soon so I can
start looking them over for a inital new roadmap. If you have bigger
ideas, please file them too. All changes and ideas will be discussed on
phpslash-devel@..., so if you're not on that list and
want to contribute to the future of phpslash consider joining. As
always, phpslash has been a community driven project: we care and want
to know what out userbase wants and needs in terms of features, so
please tell us! Better Yet, Please Send In Code! We're always looking
for new developers.
- Release Cycle. With the new roadmap the releease cycle will change to a
Milestone-like system with smaller advances and features for faster
turnaround. Talk of 0.7 is no more, instead we now have "M7" I have no
idea what the last "M" will be, perhaps we'll end up like
