We to announce the release of phpPgAds 2.0.9-pr1. This release contains some
important bug fixes over the recent 2.0.9 release.

Most notabily:
- restored compatibility with PHP 4.1.x and 4.2.x;
- fixed reports on PHP >= 4.4.2.

All users are advised to upgrade!

As you may have notced, the forums disappeared. They have been moved within the new phpAdsNew's own forum we've just setup.

During the release process of rc 3 we were made aware by Sebastian Marquez of a SERIOUS security problem in phpAdsNew and in phpPgAds.

USERS OF PHPPGADS ARE ADVISED TO UPGRADE TO RC 3 IMMEDIATELY. ALL VERSIONS OF PHPPGADS 2 RELEASED SINCE MARCH 2002 ARE VULNERABLE. PHPPGADS 2 RC 3 IS NOT AFFECTED BY THIS PROBLEM.

Users who do not want to upgrade can make their installation secure by deleting the adxmlrpc.php file from the phpPgAds directory. Warning: this will deactivate the Remote invocation for XML-RPC functionality completely.

phpPgAds is a Postgres port of phpAdsNew, a banner management and tracking system written in PHP. Currently it can manage multiple banners (any size) per client, view daily, overall and summary statistics and send statistics to clients via email.

As you may know phpAdsNew 2 rc 1 was released some days ago, and rc 2 was released yesterday.
I haven't been able to find the time needed to release the first candidate for phpPgAds, so I skipped to the second :)... read more

After some days I've decided to release a new beta, as beta 4 was affected by some bugs.
I did not wait for the release of phpAdsNew 2 beta 7.1, as one of this bugs was causing troubles during install on some systems, which isn't obviously a good starting point...

After many monthes, phpAdsNew 2 beta 7 have been released, so... phpPgAds 2 beta 4 is finally here too!

I finally found some time to package a developement build, so strong hearted people can test the new amazing features from our latest works!
For ones still using release 2 beta 3.1, I've uploaded a small patch that fixes some bugs.

The first beta released since we moved to Sourceforge is finally out! Beta 3.1 is mainly the port for Postgres of phpAdsNew 2 beta 6.1, with some fixes and enhancements from its CVS.

As you can see, the project page for phpPgAds has moved from greatbridge.org to SourceForge.
I'm sorry for them as they provided a good service to all Postgres developers, but their servers seem all down and we must continue our developing.
