This is a very strange way to "invite" people to join your project.
Given your "selectivity" I guess I am better off forking the source and
doing my own thing or simply doing a new project from scratch.

It is your project so you can do whatever you want with it, however I find
it very strange that you would not let people subscribe/read only to your
development list and that you would ask for people to prove their "worth"
before letting them give you any input.

Wish you best of luck with your project. I already saw enough of your
management style to not want to be part of this.
