[PHPOpenChat-Users] phpOpenChat with Oracle database ?

Hi, we're planning to use phpOpenChat in our website (a UK local gov=
 website). But we're encountering some problems.

We have standardized on Oracle as the database, so we're very happy that=
 phpOpenChat uses ADODB. That doesn't mean it'll work straight away though.=
 At the moment our Oracle DBA is busy converting db.schema to make it=
 compatible with Oracle, and he already had to change the "user" column=
 because "user" is a reserved keyword in Oracle (which means I'll have to=
 change the relevant codes to reflect this change)

While we're working trying to get it to work with Oracle, I wonder if=
 anyone has tried this as well ? (getting POC to work with Oracle)

If someone has done this, do please get in touch. We'll be very interested=
 to hear your experiences in getting it up and running.

We've converted db.schema to be compatible with Oracle.

Some changes are non-issue I think, such as datatype changes: text become=
 varchar(4000), int become number(10), double become number(38)
Comments changed to C-style (/* ... */)
"IF EXISTS" has been dropped (not supported by Oracle)

But we had to change some field names -- that means we'll have to adapt the=
 code for this.
For example, "user" is a reserved word in Oracle, as well as "online" and=
 "start".

I'll start working on the code adaptation, I'll keep you posted on our=
 progress.

There is a plan to use phpOpenChat on http://www.birmingham.gov.uk
The Webteam is supporting it, but there are doubts on the management=
 (especially seeing that version 3, which we're planning to use, still have=
 "beta" label on it)

It'd really help the cause if POC team can inform us of previous deployment=
 of POC on any other companies. I've searched the website and archive, but=
 can't find any.
