[PHPOpenChat-Users] Maximum number of current users

How many concurrent users in a channel and in the entire chat system can 
PHP-Open-chat handle
comfortably? Are any high traffic portals using this package?

Also, does it use port 80? If so then I guess I cannot use the system for 
anything else but chat.
