Install the PHPOpenChat on lycos tripod
hi

first of all a big THANKS to the creators of the PHP
open chat, this is the best free chat system I've ever
seen !!!

But there's one problem I'm worried about...I tried to
install your great chat system on a lycos tripod account
(I've activated PHP and MySQL before) but it doesn't
work!

In the second step, there's:

please chose a database or create one

I have already got a database (freestarter_de_db), but
the program doesn't see the database and asks me if I
want to create a new database.

( note: I can't create a new database on tripod, I only
have got the database freestarter_de_db, but the
installation program of your chat system doesn't see
that)

what should I do?????

I have the same problem as you. Perhaps you solved it already. It would be nice if you or someone else could post a little note, how someone can install the chat proggy on lycos.tripod.

I have a webspace ther too and it is full of restrictions, since it is free. I changed to another provider, because they do not even accept flash files. Unfortunately I cannot offer you any help, since I do not even try to work on this webspace anymore, but consider the fact, that their restrictions maybe the problem. Also, you might encounter a read-write- access problem on the created .htacess file. If this is the case, read the thread I just posted on another forum:
