After install, I get a parse error whenever I try to access the admin area. Here is an example:

Parse error: parse error in /home/sites/home/web/chat/html/admin/admin_channels.php on line 38

  Anyone?? I am getting this in several of the php pages. It always happens and ponts to the line that it calls for defaults_inc.php. Any ideas?
