Help with new install - blank index.php page

I keep getting this weird thing happening where I go to the main page (index.php) and it comes up blank.... nothing.

Yet I can reach the admin section, as well as the index_tpl.php page.....

Any suggestions?

It was working at one point, and then stopped.

  you probalby changed or deleted from the admin area the channel named Channel_1....
  make a new one with that name or edit the defaults_inc.php and change the name Channel_1
  with the default you created
