Today I (seemingly) successfully installed phpopenchat on my website, and I logged in as Operator after taking note of the password. The problem is that I don't have any link to "Administratoin" while in a chatroom like I am supposed to.
I have all of the other links: Help, my profile, ignore, Invite, Friends, Regulars' table, Configure, Mail, and Exit chat. Just no Administration... WHILE I AM ON AS OPERATOR! I have tried forcing acces to admin/index.php through tricky use of the address bar while logged in, but no luck there. I have also tried completely clearing out and reinstalling phpopenchat, but that didn't do it either.
I think the problem has to do me not being recognized (or "remembered") as Operator as the page is loading, therefore I still get the same links that everyone else does. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You may log in to see this error for yourselves at http://holabuddy.com/chat . The password for Operator has temporarily been changed to "bugreport" for your use.
Please advise me on how to resolve this issue!

I don't know! I am not even sure that we're supposed to get an admin option. And also, just letting you know: I switched to phpmychat now. You can check out my chats from my website at
http://katie.gotdns.org (I currently have phpopenchat, pjirc chat, sigmachat, and phpmychat setup. Sigmachat is what you go to when you click my KTchat image.)
Phpmychat I think may be the best option... It can be hosted on your own server(uses mysql), and it does not use IRC.
I really wish I could help you more with phpopenchat... hopefully someone more knoweledgeable will come along.

I get this bug when I try ot access your chat:
XML Parsing Error: mismatched tag. Expected: </img>. Location: http://www.holabuddy.com/chat/ Line Number 54, Column 162:<h1><p><a href="http://www.holabuddy.com/"><img border="0" src="http://holabuddy.com/forum/templates/subSilver/images/logo_phpBB.gif" width="298" height="108"></a></p><hr color="#365F72">Welcome to <br>HolaBuddy.com Chat!</h1> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On my chat, I also tried logging in as the operator and I don't get an administrator option either.
Strange.. there clearly was a missing </img>, but my browser compensated and displayed it properly anyway. It should appear properly for you now too.
That's interesting that you don't have an administrator option either.. isn't that how people are supposed to set things up?

Phpmychat looks really good; I'll give that a whirl. Thanks very much.
On http://www.holabuddy.com/chat/, how did you get the Admin option eventually?
Thanks
