#230 XML Parse error on install

Just started installing POC.

First problem: couldn't load ADODB driver when running
test.php
- dug around forum and found someone suggesting to
get adodb 4.53 from SF
- this seemd to fix that problem

now test runs all green.

when i select login (index.php) i get either:

- blank screen OR
- XML Parsing Error: not well-formed Location:
http://myhost/sports/phpopenchat/ Line Number 1,
Column 1:‹ ^

anyone have ideas?
