#1 Bug with passwords

I was looking at the details of phpMyadmin and the
passwords that some people have put in have appeared
in clear text and some haven't. If it appears in clear text
they are unable to login. I don't really know how to
reproduce this, but I am running MySQL 3.23.56 and
PHP 4.23.
