[PHPMyEdit-Discuss] Newbie Question

Hello! 

I inhereted the task of maintaining a website and I noticed that they
use PhpMyEdit which is working good except for one small problem with
their setup.  I cannot find where the database file is, or what it is
called.

I made a backup/copy of the website and did a search for elements in
the database (e.g. a person's name) but could not find the database
file.  Could you tell me A) the default filename of the MySQL database
that contains the table information and B) where it is stored?  I also
noticed that there are 2 directories I do not have access to (CONF,
PD) in the root directory, perhaps they are in there?
