Yes, it can compare phpMyEdit versions, but if you select some version, there is a possibility do download whole file. So choose the latest one and download using "download" link. The anonymous access instructions [1] are written on website, but I know, you wrote you are not so familiar with UNIX cvs usage. In the download section of Platon SDG project management section is the latest stable 5.2 version. Release 5.3 is currently being developed and can be fetched from CVS using steps described above. However, the CVSweb [2] interface is currently not capable to compile TGZ or ZIP archive of project files for you. But AFAIK this feature is work in progress. Maybe we should consider daily/weekly CVS shapshoting...
