I received a problem report from one of my chat users that he was not able to get into chat room through native AOL browser. Upon clicking chat button from login screen he is bounced right back to login screen without ever getting into chat room (which is supposed to come up in new browser window but never does).
I verified problem myself and suspect it may either be a problem with the size of the chat room window that is being opened (new full size window).
Where in code is this the chat window being launched??

It also doesn't work with Compuserve. Since AOL and CS use the same type of browser and dialup adapter. Actually, they're just about the same... :) This is a AOL/CS issue. phpMyChat has nothing do with this error, it's AOL not complying to standards. Using Internet Explorer and Netscape are the best ideas. Just minamize AOL/CS and click on one of the other browsers to start chatting.
I also tried removing the code to manipulate the size of the chat window, and I still could not log in successfully.

Tim,
Thanks for the response. Could you be a little more descriptive. Do you know why it doesn't work? Which standard is not being complied with?
I've got some people at AOL looking at this for us.

Just sign on using AOL then minimize it and access the chat through IE or netscape
