    Hi,

I just tested (coz I don't remember) and not so great news here:

    1. You can disable colors in admin panel/configuration/menu/interface/colors - but this will only show power colors (red, blue aso) in the users' list. All the names in messages frame will be black (or room default). I need to fix this for the next versions. Thanks for reporting.
    2. It can be set for moderators not to DEMOTE but it can't be set not to promote. So either admins and moders will be able to promote (I might change this for the next versions to act as for demote). Meantime, you can compare lib/commands/demote.cmd.php and promote.cmd.php and make yourself the patch, accordingly. I have not enough time right now to look into this unfortunatelly, unless it's really important for you... Is it? Don't the moderators obey your rules? Punish them! (demote temporary the unleashed ones) ;))
      All the best,

    Ciprian M.

thank you for the fast response!

    1. No worries, just thought id ask, i remember a few years back someone i knew had one of these chats and he had it to members coulnt pick color fonts. just curious to see if i can do it on my own chat!

2.i will look into that myself and report back to you what i got done! and and
haha they will obey! but for now i just took it off their quickmenu, so IF
they dont know about the command, they wont use it haha.

and i FINALLY figured out how to make one of these chats, im so excited! ive
tried 3 times in the past 5 yrs or so to do it, and finally did it haha

the chatroom isnt being used too much but hopefullly i have everything set
    once it picks up!

and do newer versions have newer things or something?

and also can staff have bold font in the chatroom?

    thanks again for your help!

I'm working on all your suggestions.

For now, I fixed the color names but I just realised you were talking about
the entire post color, not just the username, right?

Well, the approach has been that the use of colored text is open to anyone. I
never thought of restricting the use of text colors, which will make the chat
not so attractive, from the design point of view.

For a future version, I will think about adding such an option.

Of course each new version brings more (lots) of new features and a lot more
    fixes/improvements.

Send me an email with an address where I can send you back an update
    (sourceforge mail doesn't allow attachments).

I will also make the patch for bold fonts.

    All the best!

    Ciprian M.
