I'm having a couple problems with phpmychat 0.14.5.

    1.  I have a user who uses the AOL browser to login to the chat.  She can chat for about 10 minutes and then the chat will lock her out and won't let her back in under the same screenname or a new one.  I haven't seen this happen with the other users using IE or Netscape, but I would like to know if there is a patch or a bug fix that will keep users (regardless of the browser type) from being locked out after a few minutes.

    2.  I noticed that if I want to copy a paragraph and paste it in the text box of the chat, it will only put the first sentence of the paragraph in the text box.  I thought it was the length of the textbox so I lengthened it.  That didn't work.  It still cuts off the rest of the paragraph after the first sentence.  What can I do to fix this?

    Thanks for your help.

      Hey there!

I cannot help you with the first problem, but I have to say that AOL users gererally have problems using phpMyChat (especially V 0.15) due to some changes AOL did on their proxy servers recently. It might be a solution to tell them to turn the proxies off.

The second problem is not really an issue with phpMyChat but with the INPUT boxes that do not understand line breaks. I'm afraid there is no solution to that issue (unless you can get M$ to change this ;)

From some of the other responses I've received about AOL, the problem is when users try to use the AOL browser to access the chatroom.  It is ok for them to use AOL as their ISP, but they will need to use Internet Explorer to successfully login and stay logged into the chatroom.  The reason why AOL users using an AOL browser have problems logging in is because the IP address changes every few minutes.

Thanks to all of you who helped in figuring this out.
