GREAT freeware. Free, simple, easy to install, works great
PROBLEM:
=========
no fault to the phpMyChat team since testing all browsers in today's internet is shat, but just a note in it's needed:
------ does not work in Blackberry Browser OS 5.x.x.x
------ phpMyChat-Plus_1.93_full.zip
------ submit button does not work, nor does using 'enter' to send text
------ for some reason, the existing text dissappears (maybe when zooming in?), even the welcome text
------ trying to figure out a solution, but not fluent in php
Blackberry Browser (for what it's worth if you need it):
=========================================
html submit buttons work with cgi back-end
javaScript works 90% of the time (can't figure out what goes wrong the other 10%)
ascii code only works with a semi-colon (ex: " " shows " ", while " " shows " ")

I hope you don't expect me buy a Blackberry with the less than 50 bucks got
from the donations, just to test and dev on its browsers...
Of course I'd like to look into it, but...
As for the Browser issues, I don't think there is any ascii code in phpMyChat-
Plus that misses the semi-colon. If so, please let me know where, as we can't
go through all the files just to find a missing;
Nah, not expecting you to buy a BlackBerry, but never know what you have
access to on your end.
Wouldn't mind doing some BlackBerry browser tests for you, if there are code
changes specific to that "submit" or 'enter key' problem. Or if the text
window rendering process is different.
BUT... i'm sure you and i both have other things on our hands so the testing
would only be able to be done once or twice a month from this end. If that is
still seriously worth it to you (1---debugging specific to the submit/enter
problem on your end and 2---slow testing cycle on my end), let me know.

All I can do at this point is to send you the latest 1.94-beta6 and have you
make some tests on it. Or get it from http://ciprianmp.com/atm/index.php?&dir
ection=0&order=&directory=programming/phpMyChat/Ciprian_releases/Plus_version/
1.94
Let me know how it goes.
PS: I'll try to add your BB browser on the chat code list to be identified as
IE/FF, so it will trigger the most of the IE approach.
That might fix the dissapearing text, but can't guarantee. Besides, I will not
code it for 1.93 but 1.94, so you'd better upgrade it.

Ah, you know what?
Forget it.
!worth (theReward < theEffort) {
there are official Blackberry simulators for desktops (assumed freeware and
browser simulator included);
Blackberry is known for it's other communications options like email and
messaging already;
phones will catch up (and perhaps surpass) to desktop browsers soon enough;
}
Am curious as to what other projects you are working on besides phpMyChat now
though ...
