I am not to familiar with PHP, though I followed the instuctions provided by phpMyChat 1.9+. But when I enter step 7:

I get the error message: Error: Could Not Connect To Database. I made the database in phpMyAdmin CPanel as directed to. I edited the folder from "plus" and renamed it to "chat". I changed the attributes of the directed files to from their previous attributes to "777" as direct.
Did I do something wrong or was there a step that wasn't written?

Did you deleted meantime? It's a 404 there...
Anyway, the reason was you haven't put the right format of the database name and username.
