I have created a database using phpMyAdmin with utf8_uncide_ci collation. When I use "export" feature of phpMyAdmin into sql format, all non-latin letters appear fine. When I backup the database with phpMyBackupPro v2.1 I get question marks (?????) instead of non-latin words.
What am I doing wrong?
Same problem here.
Some letters (like "į","ė") are replaced by "?", other (like "š","ž") are backuped/restored correctly.
The problem may be in function "mysql_escape_string" used in line 671 of functions.inc.php, because of:
…mysql_escape_string() does not take a connection argument and does not respect the current charset setting.
