I have been using phpmyarchive for about two months now. I am a genealogist, so a system based on dates is very appropriate. Overall, I like the program, allowing that it is still in early stages of development. I have a few questions: 1. The images show at 100% when the magnification is set at about 25%. I don't know if this is due to having a Web interface. Gimp used to show everything at 72 d.p.i even when it was created at a higher res, and would enlarge the image accordingly. 2. This may be related to the large file size per PDF. I would be happy even to halve that. 3. For my purpose, I would like to be able to have dates back to at least 1700. I am quite willing to hack the program to achieve something like that, on the assumption that it would not suit all users. What are the absolute limits? The change to the Gregorian calendar in 1752 is something that all genealogists have to live with. It hasn't come up for me yet, and it seems that it wouldn't matter to the database. I just select the date system I want to use. The real problem seems to be a convenient selection menu in such a case.
