#511 hint to the extended features of maydmin

there are so many functions in config.inc.php that are
disabled by default.
most users don`t know of them, so put a warning on the
main page when you are logged in as root and functions
are disabled like the query-history, bookmarks,
the "show all"-button in the select-page...
and a link to a page, where you see the most usefull
options that can be changed easily.

Or maybe put an alternate config.inc file in the
download, that has enabled all functionality, so you can
switch to that config right after installing the newest
version (and put a hint to that an the main page too)

    These features are disabled intentionally, mostly because of
    saving server load or requiring additional actions to setup,
    eg.:

    - bookmarks, relations and transformation stuff requires
    additional database/tables which need to be created
    - show all button will lead to huge load of hosting servers

    If you want to use all features of ANY software, you have to
    read documentation and I thing these features are there
    described....

    Leaving this open in case somebody else has different
    opinion :-)

    I also think we have an extensive documentation for all
    switches.

    And what's best for you is usually not best for all others,
    it's very individual. We can't create so many different
    configuration groups for every kind of user.

    It will get more userfriendly once we have a GUI for the
    configuration, so I propose to reject this RFE like nijel said.

    However, thanks for the suggestion, we appreciate the effort
    to make PMA more powerful to the user! But we always have to
    draw a line between being powerful and being usable for most
    users...

    ok, but maybe you can include this at the bottom of
    config.inc.php:

    /* to configure most features of phpmyadmin put a # before
    this line
    $cfg['Servers'][$i]['auth_type'] = 'http';
    $cfg['Servers'][$i]['pmadb'] = 'phpmyadmin';
    $cfg['Servers'][$i]['bookmarktable'] = 'pma_bookmark';
    $cfg['Servers'][$i]['relation'] = 'pma_relation';
    $cfg['Servers'][$i]['table_info'] = 'pma_table_info';
    $cfg['Servers'][$i]['table_coords'] = 'pma_table_coords';
    $cfg['Servers'][$i]['pdf_pages'] = 'pma_pdf_pages';
    $cfg['Servers'][$i]['column_info'] = 'pma_column_info';
    $cfg['Servers'][$i]['history'] = 'pma_history';
    $cfg['ShowAll'] = TRUE;
    $cfg['MaxRows'] = 50;
    $cfg['LightTabs'] = TRUE;
    $cfg['QueryWindowHeight'] = 388;
    $cfg['QueryHistoryDB'] = TRUE;
    $cfg['SQLQuery']['Validate'] = TRUE;
    $cfg['SQLValidator']['use'] = TRUE;
    #*/

    Sorry, but I still disagree to propagating these values as
    default. My data is mostly so complex that 50 rows would be
    too much, I like to keep my querywindow very small, I don't
    like to pollute my DB with all queries I enter and the
    SQLValidator is too slow and useless to me.

    See what I mean - you can't have a "one size fits it all
    best default setting"... ;-(

    i found this old idea, and i think about a better solution.
    cause every time i install the latest version of myadmin i
    have to go through the whole config file

    a solution would be, that there are a few default settings
    to choose from:
    1. for slow mashines with less cpu power
    2. for maximum comfort with all features enabled
    3. .... whatever

    ok, the main thing is, cause i often need the show all button, but:

    a "show 500" Button would be nice by default:
    if there are not so many records, it will work like the show all button
    and if there are more than 500 records, it is better than a show all
    button, cause it creates less server load

    phpMyAdmin now points to missing pmadb and related features on main page, I assume this is enough.
