What about adding a quick delete/truncate icon next to table name?
Also, it would be nice to edit a table or field name just by double-clicking it.
Sorry if this kind of ticket was created before.
The icons could be added after the table's name, in the right side, so it would be something like: table_name [icon truncate this table][icon drop this table]
I would find this feature suitable for developers working with a data-flow, since they have to test if the inserted data is correct.

Do you mean in the left side navigation panel or database structure page?
My original thought was for the navigation panel, but i guess it can be extended.
For the record renaming by double clicking was rejected at https://sourceforge.net/p/phpmyadmin/feature-requests/1581/
Currently there is an icon next to navigation items allowing them to be hidden. So, additional icons might clutter the interface.

We already have the mechanism for a second icon next to the table name in http://docs.phpmyadmin.net/en/latest/config.html#cfg_NavigationTreeDefaultTabTable2 but the possible choices do not include truncate or drop.
