What is database expansion? Apparently it's "Whether to disable the possibility of database expansion or not."

Why is it a 'negative' option? IMO it should be Enable ...

It was named with Disable because the intended behavior (default) is to permit the database expansion in the navigation panel. Yes it could be reversed, as all the other DisableSomething directives.

Ah, it's about expanding database nodes in the tree (presumably in the left navigation panel). Perhaps the description could be improved to make this clear.

In Settings, this directive is located under Navigation Panel > Navigation panel, so it should have been clear that we are talking about the navigation panel. Any suggestion to clarify the message?

Hmm. Something like "Enable database node expansion (to show tables)"?

  • Olaf van der Spek

Or "Include tables in navigation tree"?

Well the expansion also shows functions, procedures and views, so I would avoid mentioning only tables.

  • Olaf van der Spek

Didn't know. Please include them as well.
