Change / disable / let user assing different keyboard shortcut for console display. Now (4.3.0 beta1) the keyboard shortcut is escape button and if you use it to close various dialogs (e.g. autocomplete) most of the time it will open console.

In version 4.3.4, the keyboard shortcut has been changed to Ctrl+Alt+C

Not sure about adding a new configuration to customize the shortcut. I didn't get any positive feedback about a new configuration when asked on the developers' mailing list.
