(phpMyAdmin 3.1.2, php 5.2.8, apache 2.2.11on FreeBSD 7.2-RELEASE)
I wish to help someone avoid the 3 hours I just spent [silly me].
Basically, I upgraded phpMyAdmin. In reality, I copied all the databases from an old machine to a new one with a more recent version of phpMyAdmin. Nonetheless. The pmadb was missing pma_designer_coord. And it was reported as a missing feature. In attempts to "fix" the missing feature (none of which appeared to work):
I added the line in config.inc.php
I added the table with the SQL tab on phpMyAdmin with a copy/paste from the create_tables.sql file.
I deleted the whole pmadb database and recreated it from the script.
I restarted the server.
I started tracing the code (really nicely written by the way; but dense...)
I grepped for "Displaying Column Comments" and found it in lang/english-utf8.inc.php
I grepped for "strColComFeat" and found it in ....
blah blah blah on into stubborn debug mode
ultimately, I finally deleted my cookies. Ta-Dah!
Could you please add a bit of text to PMA_printRelationsParamDiagnostic() to the effect of:
"after making changes, please clear your cookies..."
btw: phpMyAdmin rocks. Thank you very much.
