It is difficult to export from an internet provider in a batch mode.

The currently export script is only designed for an interactive use, but for an automatic backup with parameter it is very difficult. Actually, it work for me but with form post data with wget, and parameters are difficult to find.

Is it possible to think to a script for this use, so a cron job could run the script with all parameters for backup.

By example, parameters in a file in an interactive first backup, and next backups could be realised with the same parameter file. Ideally, if it could login at the same place.

Thanks for all

    Thanks
It could be a solution but this script needs partialy perl, this is not available with my ISP. And this scripts also needs to be maintained independantly of phpmyadmin.

I have hope this functionality in PhpMyadmin so i will be sure that it work without problem in import mode, without any maintenance from user (no different login, different security problem ...).

Export in batch mode, is not so different from the export script, just a difference on the way to give the parameter to export. But i dont realize if it is a big work or not.

It's quite different in terms of the protection we build against XSS; this means that a token is needed to access the scripts.

I realize that my expression is not enough clear (My english is so poor).
I dont want any modification on security, and i think a token is not a problem for this modification.

Actually, the backup parameters could only be set in interactive mode in a form. This could be simulated by programs like wget, but it is very complexe to find this parameters forms and a big risk if the version of PhPMyAdmin change that the parameters will be differents and automated backup dont works.
The way that the user could initiate the backup is the user problem.
But if all the parameters of the backup could be registred in PMA or be sent, it is more easy to automate succesively a login, a backup (with a default profil or a file parameter), a disconnection. The easiest way for the user is to backup manually one time, and tell the next will be like this (saving parameters in a profil). If the profil is set in PMA there is no XSS possibility just by saving preferences (nothing is sent), a file parameter is more complex to secure.

    Thanks
    Thanks

Ok, I just added this feature request on http://hackontest.org, I suggest you go there and vote for it (and for other feature requests for phpMyAdmin). This might be implemented at this competition. You have to register but it's easy.

You voted, thanks. You also agree to be at hackontest to implement this? (this is what "agree to implement" means). If not, please click "don't implement".

Sorry, a mistake. I have not enough time to learn and try to do that. It is corrected.

    Thanks a lot

Ok. Please look again to see if your vote has been counted for this feature. I suspect a bug on the hackontest.org interface.

I don't like the security aspect of having a username/password in a cron file.
