#4686 (ok 4.3.6) Select elements flicker and selects something else

The select elements across phpMyAdmin flickers when I try to open it and trying to select one option with mouse. Many times if the list is long and scrollable, selecting some option results in selection of some other option (normally above the intended option, from first several options in select).

This happens with Google Chrome 39.0.2171.71 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 14.04.

This does not happen in Firefox on the same OS.

I tested some long select boxes outside phpMyAdmin. But they does not seem to act like this(flicker).
