When exporting BINARY field, phpMyAdmin can't export binary data to readable ASCII code, so that the exported SQL can't be reloaded again.
Patch for 3.5.5
Please try the attached patch.
Any feedback on this patch?
The patch doesn't seem work.
Furthermore, I found a new bug, when exporting BINARY data shown as text, the data of output is missing.
Could you show me the structure of your table, and some sample data? Because with my test table and the patch, all was fine for a BINARY column.
CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS sl_user (
id int(10) unsigned NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT,
username varchar(15) NOT NULL,
`password` binary(20) NOT NULL,
isadmin tinyint(1) NOT NULL DEFAULT '0',

email varchar(60) CHARACTER SET ascii NOT NULL,
`status` tinyint(3) unsigned NOT NULL,
nickname char(20) NOT NULL,
lastvisit int(10) unsigned NOT NULL,
lastip varbinary(16) NOT NULL,

regtime int(10) unsigned NOT NULL,

) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=utf8
Please show me some sample data.
IRC user Dylan343 reported to me that your patch (modified because the file has since been moved) fixes a similar problem.
