#3653 (ok 3.5.3) Can't enter date directly when editing inline

No

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Browse any table with a date field in it
2. click to edit the date field inline
3. try to type directly into the date field (i.e. not using the date-picker)

ACTUAL RESULT:
Cursor appears in field, but keystrokes are ignored including ctrl-V to paste. I can, however, paste into the field from the context menu.

DESIRED RESULT:
Typing should be accepted into the field (limited to digits and hyphens, perhaps).

NOTES:
When changing a date by a lot, it's much easier to type the date directly, rather than use the picker.
Reproducible in current Chrome (20.0.1132.57), Firefox (14.0.1) and IE (9.0.8112.16421) on Windows 7.
