I am just starting to use PHPMailer (version 5.1) to send emails from a
client's site. One thing I am doing is checking the SpamAssassin score for the
emails, since with the previous way I was doing things, people were purchasing
online and their acknowledgments were getting blocked as spam, and I am trying
to eliminate this.
The PHPMailer generated emails are getting penalized by SpamAssassin under the
EXTRA_MPART_TYPE rule, saying the header has an extraneous Content-type entry.
The email is MIME, so there are multiple headers, but I can't tell which one
is extraneous or how to eliminate it.
Could any one suggest how to tweak things to get the emails to pass this test?
Did you ever find the answer to your question? I am having the exact same
problem but have found no solution.
