As far as I know, no one has stepped up to begin the process of rewriting
PHPLib to take advantage of PHP 5. The subject of a full rewrite (mostly to
clean up the code) was discussed by the PHPLib developers shortly before PH=
P
5 was released, but no one has announced that they are starting on the
project.
