7.4pre2 was the first step to getting the newer code and functions 
released.

We aren't going to release anything that is not checked into cvs.  The 
-stable cvs had been in a testing freeze for months.  So it seems more 
prudent to go ahead and release it and then commit the patches and go 
through the testing cycle for release again.

It seems that this current discussion is the only complaint so far with 
7.4pre2.  Does anyone have anything else that hasn't been identified?

true.  the only difference is that it contains an example of the
