It should never be used in a production environment (if indeed that's possible given it's inconsistent state). That tree is used purely as a source of interesting ideas for future development in the -stable tree. I think the only stuff left in there that hasn't been merged into the -stable tree is the PHP4 session bits. So once that's done we'll hopefully be able to delete that tree and save everyone a lot of angst. The -stable tree is as it's name implies stable. It should be possible to use the code from it as a drop-in replacement for any reasonably modern (like 2-3 year old) PHPLIB installation. ...Richard. |
