Indeed the CVS tree is still rather disorganised.

My intention has been to merge the worthwhile changes from the -devel
tree back into -stable. And then trash the -devel tree.

I think a diff will fairly cleanly report the differences between the
various files now... I've fixed most of the whitespace and comment
differences.

I didn't work on the session4 stuff because back in August when I did
all that PHPLIB work I was still using PHP3 :)
