[phplib-users] Alternative framework to phplib

Hi phplib users,

I wonder what you would recommend as an alternative to phplib if I want to 
start a completely new project for a web application.

What I like about phplib is the easy user (data) management allowing every 
single use to have his/her own set of variable contents on every new 
login. User perms are great to differentiate between users.

There is PEAR (with tons of different classes), Ajax and whatever... But I 
am lost since I did not develop PHP during the past years anymore.

Wonder what you might suggest as a new technology with future.
