I have been using PHPLayersmenu 3.2.0-rc in a web portal that lists all our managed objects. I am using the treemenu to display all the nodes in a tree with a depth of 3 (customer - object type - object name). I store the phplayersmenu data in a MySQL database.
Lately the number of objects has grown considerably, the phplayersmenu table now contains around 1300 rows. I noticed that it takes more and more time to build the tree upon accessing the main portal page. I did some performance monitoring on the MySQL database that contains the phplayersmenu table, but found no slow queries.
I suspect the PHP scripts may cause the slower performance. Does anyone have similar problems and does anyone know of a way to speed up the tree building process?
