#9 Image on index.php

I am looking to change the graphic image that is displayed on
the index.php file. I can change it to something else (already
done) but what I would like is to have custom graphics for each
directory.

Directory one gets graphic one
Directory two gets graphic two... and so on.

Advice would be welcome.
