After meeting the dependencies, I think it's a pretty slick package. It has all of the features that people have been trying to add to phpix2. I think phpix2 is faster at creating the thumbnails and image resizes on the fly, but IDS has a command line script to automatically create the thumbs. Also, in general, I found that phpix2 seemed faster. The web interface is also a nice feature. I would hate to see phpix2 die away.
