Does the new version allow you to use different file types??
I think it would be smart to have unknown filetype be just like a download if phpix dosen't know what it is. For example in my photoalbum I have a fun page that has some mpeg movies, some .exe's, etc. Right now phpix dosen't have any idea what to do with them. I think it would be smart if phpix just diplayed them as an unknown filetype or something and just allowed the user to download them. Right now they can't even download them.

Yes, that is something I'd like to add. The way the code is structured right now, though, I think I'd be better off doing that in 2.1. Although the combination of this request and the security concerns Heiko points out (as well as a few I know about myself) make me think that perhaps 2.0 should be a brand new codebase...
